It was only a matter of time before people started getting fed up with the heads down meeting. If your meeting has goals, an agenda, a defined start and end time, etc. (and yours all do – right?)…then having people sending email, reading web sites and otherwise not entirely paying attention to what is going on can be a huge distraction. Doesn’t it also send the message that what they are doing is more important than the meeting subject matter?
Have any of you outlawed the lap top, cellphone, blackberry, etc. from meetings?
